ROWL Recycling

US Highway 191, Lewistown, MT

ROWL (Recycle Our Waste Lewistown), a non-profit plastics recycling program, was organized as a community volunteer run program to benefit Lewistown and surrounding communities.

ROWL currently operates a twenty-four hour, seven days a week drop-off site located on Lewis Lane on the truck by-pass.  A sign on the shed indicates the place where plastic should be left and guidelines for recycling.

ROWL accepts clean household plastic numbers one and two only.  The numbers can be found in the triangle usually placed on the bottom of the container.  Please, no Styrofoam or grocery bags.  Grocery bags can be taken to Albertsons for recycling.  Clear plastic bags are available at the site for you to use to collect your plastic.

ROWL also accepts aluminum cans.

Cardboard can be dropped off at Snowy Mountain Industries, 132 Wunderlin Rd. in Lewistown.  Open Mon, Wed, Fri - 9 to 2 by appointment only, call 538-4367.

Steel cans, scrap metal and electronic waste can be taken to Republic Disposal east of town on Hwy 87.
