Montana Bale Trail

Hobson- Utica, MT

Details

The Montana Bale Trail, a unique annual event held in Hobson, Montana, is a not-to-be-missed event of the summer.  The Bale Trail occurs on the first Sunday following Labor Day, which is also the same weekend as the Chokecherry Festival.

Following the Trail provides a good excuse to take a road trip to the Hobson/Utica area west of Lewistown, where you'll see the creative side of our local farmers, ranchers, and other hay bale artists.  Bales, transformed into just about anything imaginable, are displayed from Hobson through Utica and on to Windham.

Having won the Governor's "Tourism Event of the Year" award in 2003, the unique contest draws visitors from all over the world and has grown to include over 50 entries each year.  Plan on a slow, scenic drive as you join the large crowd who enjoys the Bale Trail loop annually!
