Located in the Big Snowy Mountains of central Montana, Crystal Lake, at an elevation of 5,700 feet, boasts spectacular scenery and lots of hiking, biking, walking and horseback riding trails.
The variety of trails all lead to attractions such as Grandview Point, the Ice Caves, Crystal Cascades, or a nice easy loop around the lake.
The beautiful US Forest Service campground hosts 23 large campsites, all with picnic tables, fire pits, and ample space between. A boat launch is available for all non-motorized boats - bring your tube, raft, canoe or kayak.
Stocked each year with fish, the lake offers a wonderful family get-away. A nominal $10/night fee is charged - maximum of 10 people per campsite. Stays are limited to no more than 16 days.
