Shakespeare In the Parks
Venue: Frank Day Park, Lewistown, MT
Experience Shakespeare’s coming-of-age play at Frank Day Park in Lewistown on June 24th.
While King Henry IV is burdened with escalating rebellion, his son Prince Hal has forsaken all responsibility to carouse with the drunken but fun-loving Falstaff. But Hal has to make a choice and will eventually have to prove his worth.
On June 25th on the Utica Clubhouse lawn, rumor has it that Queen Elizabeth herself commissioned this play because she wanted to see the “fat knight in love”. In Merry Wives, Shakespeare’s lovable loser, Falstaff tries to seduce Mistress Page and Mistress Ford, but is (perhaps unsurprisingly) outsmarted by both.
As always, the performance is completely FREE. Bring a picnic, a blanket, and enjoy a night of professional theatre under the Big Sky.
